Protecting your business from a fire should begin with training your employees on how to prevent them.  Some fires can be prevented in the office kitchen just by setting some simple rules. 

It is also important to train staff on how to properly use fire extinguishers in an instance where the fire is small enough to put out without calling 911. If the fire is uncontrollable, employees should know the emergency protocols and established evacuation routes. 

Office equipment should be checked regularly. Kitchen appliances should be clean and in good working condition. This means no frayed electrical cords that can start a fire.  Proper maintenance and inspections should also be conducted on heating equipment and lighting systems to make sure they are cleaned and functioning properly.
